Hello, I need to create a linkset from each FROP modules(FROP ia folder containing modules) to each CRS modules(CRS is a folder containing number of modules) using a link module called LINK_SAMPLE. As i have not dealt with the linksets, I have no clue how to proceed. Can any one help me out. Thanks, Shri KBSri - Mon Sep 23 00:52:44 EDT 2013 |
Re: Creating a linkset from each FROP modules to each CRS modules usng a link module LINK_SAMPLE module Creating links in DXL is straight forward and you explicitely define Source Object, Target Object, and the name of the Link Module. Creating the links via the GUI is harder. The standard way is to manually set up your "LinkSet Pairings" which specifies which link module to use between a Source and a Target module, then click-and-drag to create the link. Remember that the "Linkset" tab in the Module Properties would better be named "Linkset Pairings", as it does not actually create "Linksets". -Louie |

But i want it to by DXL scripting. Any advice? Thanks You want to create LinksetPairings from DXL? They are known as "LinkModuleDescriptor" in DXL. Be advised that although the Linkset pariing appears in the Source module, the information is actually stored in the module's FOLDER. Therefore the DXL commands talk about the owning folder, and have source/target info separate. -Louie |
